New Delhi, Sep 29 (SocialNews.XYZ) The CEO, Delhi, said that as of Tuesday, 4,01,670 hearings on SIR notices issued for unmapped and logical discrepancy cases have been conducted in the Capital.
The CEO said that in cases where a person has been issued a notice during the ongoing SIR for unmapped and logical discrepancies, BLOs will visit the person's home to collect documents and then upload them on the ECINet for the ERO's decision.
“Such persons will not be called for hearing to ERO/AERO office,” said the CEO.
An official statement said that, to maximise the enrolment of young electors, Special Camps were successfully organised at different colleges/universities on Tuesday. The camps will continue on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, a large number of students visited the camps for queries related to SIR and for obtaining /submitting forms. BLOs present at these camps guided students to fill out their forms, collected the filled forms, and resolved their SIR-related queries, the statement said.
New applicants attaining the age of 18 years on or before October 1 should apply in Form-6 for inclusion of their names in the Electoral Roll, said the statement.
Another round of Special Camps for enrolment of young electors will be held at all Colleges/Universities and other educational institutions in Delhi on October 7 and 8, 2026, the statement said.
All young electors are requested to avail this opportunity to enrol their names in the electoral rolls and participate in the democratic process, it said.
Further, Special Camps will also be held at all polling station locations on October 4 and 11 for enrolment of all categories of electors, it said.
Form 6 is meant for new voters, Form 6A for overseas electors, Form 7 for objections to proposed inclusion or deletion of names, and Form 8 for shifting of residence, correction of entries, replacement of EPIC cards or marking of persons with disabilities, said an official statement.
Applications can be submitted offline by handing them over to the electoral registration officer, assistant electoral registration officer, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) or at designated polling station locations till October 30.
Online applications are also being accepted through the website https://voters.eci.gov.in and the ECINET mobile app.
The Delhi election office said that citizens may submit other claims and objections using the prescribed forms till October 30.
The statement said that claims and Objections received till October 30 will be disposed of by November 30, and the final electoral roll will be published on December 4.
